We exist to remove the friction standing between businesses and what they’re actually here to do.
We started in 2003, doing enterprise-grade work for small and medium businesses that the big shops weren’t paying enough attention to. Twenty-plus years later, the technology has changed completely — the principle hasn’t.
Every client has something they’re meant to be doing. An engineering firm is here to solve infrastructure problems. An arts organisation is here to create. A healthcare provider is here to care for people. None of them are here to worry about whether their email is secure, their servers are running, or their team can collaborate from anywhere.
That’s friction. And friction is the enemy of purpose.
Our job is to eliminate it — across every layer where technology gets in the way. The proof is the longest-standing relationships in our portfolio: full-service clients who have stayed with us for a decade or more, because the friction has stayed removed.
A new chapter: Modena360 and Petras Technology, now one team
In October 2025, Modena360 and Petras Technology completed a merger that brings together two Hills-district IT businesses with a shared philosophy and complementary strengths.
Petras was founded in 2009 on a deceptively simple idea: speak to clients as a pro, not a geek. Plain English. Honest technical advice. The kind of personalised, on-the-ground service that small and medium businesses across Norwest, Bella Vista, Baulkham Hills, Castle Hill, Kellyville and surrounding suburbs have relied on for over fifteen years.
That’s exactly the kind of work we’ve always believed in — and bringing both teams together under the Modena360 name lets us deliver more of it, to more clients, with deeper expertise behind every engagement.

Two businesses, one philosophy
The fit was unusually clean. Both businesses were founded on the conviction that small and medium businesses deserve the same quality of technical work that enterprise clients receive — delivered without the enterprise overhead, the upselling, or the jargon.
- Modena360 spent twenty-plus years scaling enterprise-grade managed services, security, cloud and consulting across Australia and New Zealand.
- Petras spent fifteen years building deep, personal client relationships in North West Sydney, with particular strength in cybersecurity awareness and ACSC Essential 8 implementation.
The merger combines that scale with that intimacy. Same philosophy, more capability — and because Petras was already running on the same technology stack we use across the business, the joining of the two teams has been genuinely seamless from day one.

Why we did this
Three reasons, all of them practical:
- Deeper roots in North West Sydney. Both businesses grew up in the Hills corridor. Merging means a stronger local presence in the community we’ve always served.
- Expanded cybersecurity capability. Petras’s hands-on Essential 8 and cyber awareness experience strengthens our managed security stack at exactly the moment our clients need it most.
- A larger team for SMB clients. More capacity, faster response, more specialised skills — without losing the personal accountability that both businesses were built on.
